Guys,
I took lexapro very successfully for about a year. It kicked in quickly after an initial period of nausea.
This time I'm noticing a difference but not as dramatic. And my right leg hurts, like your body aches from the flu. But only my right leg.
I've also dropped a ton of weight, which I like, but I know it won't last.
Has anybody restarted a drug after poop out and had it act differently? Please advise.

Seriously I'd give anything to have a drug poopout. That would mean it had worked for a while. So far none of the meds work for me. But as far as you starting lexapro and having it do things to you that didn't happen before. Anything is possible and I don't doubt what you're feeling at all. Fondly, Phillipa

The first thought when i hear (es)citalopram is heavy nausea. Apart from that the usual sexual side effects and sometimes a bit of somnolence. I think Lexapro is the most selective in the SSRI group for the serotonin receptors. I think this is what could make it good as a first line medication. But then again that might also make it ineffective if the imbalance is not only/mainly in the serotonin system.
This is the end of the thread.
