My new pdoc isn't working out. He even forgot and isn't calling in my prescription for valium I've taken for around 30yrs. I know this will cause withdrawal. I need to find someone else ASAP. As Monday it runs out. Any suggestions? Fondly, Phillipa

Any psychiatrist should have a page or voicemail to contact in emergency. If not, they're in serious jeopardy of their malpractice insurance. Try his, god, I hope he has an emergency number and have him phone or fax it in Monday. You have a good chance for the next few days as Valium has a 24+ hour half life

Scott it's not your fault. I wanted the other one anyway. Got a list from the guy who does the psych testing there today. He knows all the pdocs in the area as he is at the largest hospitals here. Pressbyterian and Carolinas healthcare. And one of them is very near me . Just have to check out the insurance and if they are taking new pts. Funny thing is the tester knew what I meant when saying the pdoc only spends l0minutes with you. Love Jan
