Has anyone used Toprol-XL for physical symptoms of anxiety. My doc just prescribed it, along with 3 mgs of klonopin daily to tackle my Social Anxiety disorder and OCD--hopefully this combo along with the 250 mgs of luvox i take will help me.

I'm thinking of giving Toprol XL a start at a low dose like 12.5 mg.May I ask how much you're taking and how it's working for you? Have you noticed any depression or fatigue with it and if taking it at night helps with sleep?

Its sort of odd that your doctor is prescribing a cardioselective beta blocker. Usually non-cardioselective beta blockers, esp. propranolol and pindolol are prescribed because they affect periphery more than the heart directly. But that's just my view.
