Hi.
Has Anyone out their tried Parnate above 100mg?
How did ya find it?
Did it eliminate any fatigue or insomnia that you might have had on lower doses by any chance?
Any Blood Preasure problems?

Hi.
> Has Anyone out their tried Parnate above 100mg?
I have been up as high as 150mg.
> How did ya find it?
I found that I gained increases in mental energy and concentration that I hadn't had at the lower dosages.
> Did it eliminate any fatigue
I didn't experience fatigue at lower dosages.
> or insomnia that you might have had on lower doses by any chance?
You might want to take a look at the posts of Chairman_MAO. He describes that his insomnia at the lower dosages disappeared at the higher dosages.
> Any Blood Preasure problems?
Nope. Neither high nor low. I would, however, suggest that you move up at 10mg per week increments to avoid postural hypotension. This is probably more important if this is your first time taking this drug.
Let us know what you decide and how you do with it.

Thanks Scott.
I read his post Once but couldn't find it again.
But I find it hard to believe some side effects dimminish at higher doses. Dose this chairman guy know his stuff?
My problem is I get these slumps during the day where I can't be bothered doing anything & just want to sleep for 1 to 2 hrs, then wake up and am better. But then can only sleep for 4 hrs or so at night. At a higher dose maybe I could stay awake all day & sleep at night.Taking a higher dose is definatly going to be worse for your health though isn't it?
How much did or do you divide your doses into?

> Any Blood Preasure problems?Five year parnate user here, and i have gone over the 100 mark numerous times. The result,no benifit what so ever.Instead there is fatigue and my depression actualy seemed worse,i slept constantly so i can agree that inomnia would disappear, but worse than that was i had no mental or pyhsical energy and slugged in bed all day.
Im still working on regimens to this day, keep thinking i found the one,i get close but just not close enough.Point is i never found parnate since its first few weeks of use to be effective ALONE.Whenever i got great results from it ,it was on a day when i augmented it a certain way.
Typical i stay in a dose range of 60-80 a day,maybe lower.
I keep my single dosing of that anywhere from 1 tab,to 4 tabs a single dose, rarly will i go above 40 mg.In chairmans case,he actualy used the chemical,i think it was slightly different than parnate, meaning he bought the chemical in bulk and prepared it himself.
He believed in high doses, stating hed typicaly take a single 200 mg dose,i could never do that ever, the highest single dose for me would be a 60 mg single dose, and this is never the norm, just things i would try, normaly i take 30 mg-40 mg.
Right now im using ritalin, caffiene, kava kava, and xyrem,in roation with parnate and things are better .Oh and let me never exclude the value of klonopin, that is alwas present.

I think Im gonna go back to it.

Would not be fair to say i dont like Nardil,HOWEVER i never seem to make a trial,im used to that hard PUNCH parnate provides, the quick fix kinda feeling.
Nardil requires more patieance for A the drug to kick in........and B to deal with the side effects.
The few times i tried Nardil i chickened out and jumped back on parnate,so i have mostly taken both at the same time.
Im just augmenting parnate best i could,as i said,im using a variety of caffiene tabs, ritalin, kava, xyrem, and KLONOPIN in circulation to augment parnate now,its working but it takes some doing.Basicaly i listen to my body and decide what to take ,things have gotten much better, espcialy nights.
I think im gonna hold off on anything new until hopefully the patch comes out, until then ill continue what im doing.
The sexual side effects of nardil really got to me.

Hey Willyee, if your still listening.
Did you say you have taken nardil & parnate at the same time?
I might just give it a couple of days off the Parnate. Then start the Nardil, or do you reckon give it at least a week?

Tranylcypromine for me was fairly effective at 60-80mg/day. Then, at around 120mg/day, the effect on social phobia and anxiety became better, but due to its short half-life, I had to spread the dose out taking tablets all day long to maintain that effect. Otherwise, it would become anxiogenic. At 200mg/day (the best dose I ever tried), I could take 100mg in the morning and 25mg four more times per day (3-4 hours apart) and get an almost euphoric sense of well-being. Ironically, Nardil at 90mg/day is way more energizing. Parnate's effects on blood pressure are strange and often fatiguing, although I never had problems with sleeping during the day. My initial relief from insomnia also disappeared after a while, but it still wasn't as bad as 60-80mg/day, which was a severe nightmare instead of simply a nightmare. Even on Nardil I need 3mg of lunesta to sleep properly.
Overall, Nardil is far superior for me. I don't intend on stopping it (so long as it remains effective) for at least a few years if not life.

"Nardil at 90mg/day is way more energizing."
Same.
Twice as good for Social Phobia to.
Higher Parnate is tempting but I hate requiring a drug every couple of hours.
I doubt over 100mg of Parnate is to good for you either. But eh... who knows probably know worse then 300mg of Effexor. (Going by side effects)Now I gotta try and stay entertained for a month while waiting for the Nardil to come on though. Which is damn hard when You've seen all the movies
dont have a girl friend & computer games are about as fun as staring at the wall.

Hey Chairman if you get this.
Actually I don't really wanna be going off and starting a new med over the New Year. So I think I might try 120mg of Parnate.
Im just a tad worried about my health.
Do you know how harsh it is on the liver?
Other then that if my Blood Preasure is ok, Im happy and the Side Effects dont get worse I should be ok yeah?
