Effexor XR

Posted by cerebus on December 4, 2005, at 15:08:29

Question regarding Effexor XR - Recently have seen an increase in anxiety in the AM. I am currently on 107.5mg. I have been on this for about 3.5 years. I have tried numerouns combinations but the SE have been to extreme. I am very sensitive to meds. My DX. is GAD or SAD. I have added Klonopin .25mg to my regiment. I have been on this for 1 week, the effect I was searching for has not been there - motivation, and stamina problems. I to am thinking of trying Nardil. Any feedback would be nice - I know there are others like myself. Thanks.

Question: Effexor XR and efficacy? Please Answer.

Antidepressants can increase or cause anxiety. Sometimes this goes away, sometimes it doesn't; it seems to be a problem in particular with Effexor, but that could just be my perception. Anyway, if its a big problem, you could switch..Nardil could be a good option, especially for social phobia. Adding BuSpar to the effexor might help; the klonopin could help, especially if you increased the dose a bit.
