i take seroquel, klonoin, and elavil. sometimes i wake up at night with shivers like im cold. is that a sign. i notice i am starting to gain weight also. i will be talking with the pscy dr tomorrow. should i try abilify.

The main symptom of TD is involuntary motor movement--tics, lip-smacking, limbic jerks.
Clonazepam--for me--causes weight gain, FYI.

hey! Tardive dyskinesia is **usually** something that develops very gradually; the first sign for a lot of people are very subtle odd movements in the facial area, usually the tongue. A lot of docs seem to think that if you can catch TD at that point and withdraw antipsychotics, there's a good chance the full-blow TD syndrome won't develop.
