I dont understand I been on 150 to 225mg XR Effexor for 4 years, is it normal or abnormal to have heavy eyes, slow reaction, and the habit of rubbing and closing eyes all day. I am very cloggy, please share youre experience.

ryan, google effexor and get on the official effexor thread. The people there have all experienced similar effects and you might try the withdrawal board too. Sorry you're offended no harm was meant but no one ansereed your question. Fondly, Phillipa

Have you had this problem always while on effexor or just recently? I seem to recall a very groggy feeling but at the same time had an edgy feeling while taking it. I felt somewhat blah, Is that what you mean?

yeah I felt numb and tired and foggy, yeah foggy describes it. A thick head :-) And the droopy eyes Ryan, probably has to do with the tiredness.

I feel extra emotions now that Im off meds so I think it is something that happens with many ADs.

I was curious ryan, has ur doc thought u cld be resistant to effexor now? i know that certain AD's can stop working as effectively after a long period of time. U cld always ask ur doc to add something w/ the effexor. Im going to ask for mine to add wellbutrin which is for depression and energy. There are other AD's that people take w/ effexor to help w/ the residual depression. Good luck
