Depressed and Don't Feel like Leaving the House?

Posted by Smith562 on September 3, 2005, at 11:22:52

Hey Everyone,

Still searching for just *one* alternative to nardil .... it has been *eight* years of med combinations and ECT without sucess. I thought this one would work .... zoloft, selegiline, klonopin, low dose lithium because it covers most of the same actions (serotonin, dopamine, PEA, GABA)of nardil .

But I am still stuck depressed in my house while everyone is enjoying the holiday weekend. Anyone else get like this? Any alternatives to nardil?

Thanks

Smith

Deprenyl and klonopin worked ok for me for a while.

Deprenyl never seemed to work well with serotion meds for myself.

Besides both deprenyl at a slighty higher dose and klonopin at a slighty higher dose work on serotion.

Id personaly try one day of a higher than normal deprenyl dose with a higher than normal klonopin dose. Not recomending u go without lithium or zoloft, its just what i would do,deprenyl and klonopin togther alone at high doses should work ok.

Hey Willey,

LOL ... great minds think alike. The past three days I increased my Selegiline from 10 to 20mgs, decreased my zoloft from 100 to 50mgs and took an extra klonopin today. Thanks for the advice ... we will see if *our* plan works.

PS Your from Brooklyn original right? I live in Manhattan.

Honestly i rember when i took deprenyl trazdone a sero med killed it.Again not telling u to do so but have u thought about a day or two with a total break from zoloft, also lihtium id imagine would halt it too.

Heres what u have, deprenyl at a high dose is a regualr maoi, still strong with dopamine and pea levels,BUT hits sero and ne which is what zoloft does.

Klonopin is said to be a mood stablizer on its own,it has gaba down, and effects others chemicals.

The two have a synergy.Id up the klono more than the deprenyl,do that first then minutes after dose a deprenyl dose,a failry decent sized one.Let it work. From that point on take tiny bite size pieaces of klonopin in increments, but no more deprenyl. The deprenyl is potent and is there, and for me taking klonopin through the day in samll amounts kept the deprenly alive.

So again one high dose deprenyl, higher klonopin, then through the day at choosen times take a additonal bite size klonopin.By your third bite size klonopin dose u should feel a lil better.I had tremondous success doing this.No need in my case for any other meds.

BTW I am from Red hook brooklyn, which is a tiny neighborhood across manhattan. And yess i love going into the city, the club scene was awesome!

Hi Smith
So how's the sleep on selegeline 20mg/d? Need anything? I'd love to take 2mg/d deprenyl! But sustained deep sleep. I dunno why I can't sleep properly. But if you can sleep well on 20... How old are you? When I was younger I slept allright.
