It's early days yet (day 4) on Campral. I feel like a new penny, John. Agitation has all but deserted me. My preoccupation with alcohol has withdrawn under the dank rock it belongs; and I have made several giant steps forwards in my recovery process this week; attending meetings, finding a sponsor, and entering an intensive outpatient treatment programme. Whew!!
The Campral is an excellent tool for me. I've only spoken with one other person who's been on it for several months; she credits it for being the only reason she has been able to remain sober and buckle down and learn some coping skills to deal with her triggers.
I am thrilled to bits. It's a completely different feeling than hypomanic episodes that I've experienced with my BP2. This feels like a genuine chance at peace.
Please continue to cross various digits that this will be my drug of choice :-)ClearSkies

all digits are crossed for your continued success, i feel so elated knowing that something has worked so well for you, and that my doctor actually mentioned it for me!! i look so forward to trying campral, i'm just now doing a thorough google search on it, and it even mentions help with ocd!!
