Hi guys,
Just a couple of (almost certainly unoriginal) queries on Risperdal:
Has anyone successfully controlled rapid-cycling with this medication, used as an add-on to an anticonvulsant? Long-term success would be particularly reassuring!
And now for the obvious one:
Has anyone NOT suffered diminished libido, marked weight gain, prolactin increase, the secretion of biblical quantities of male breast-milk, or any of the plethora of hideous side-effects that are often associated with Risperdal?

I didnt gain any weight.

no breast milk thankfully! (yes Im a man)

the only side effect I got from was being completely, away with the faeries, out of it. I think thats cos the dose was too high. I didnt find it a very effective antipsychotic.
Best regards, Bunny

Cheers for that Xbunny.
6mg would pretty much have anyone away with the fairies, I imagine.
I'm only on a miniscule .25mg, and feel much more level already.
Guess I'll have to seek my breast milk elsewhere then.....

Hey Colin,
Sorry to interupt this post but welcome back to babble! I have read alot of Ron Hill's and your posts in the past. I might have BP II and am having a really tough time with lamictal. Just like some of your old post mentioned, I feel great at first and then eventually lamictal poops out.
I have a prescription for trileptal and remember you mentioning you were taking last year. I was wondering if your still taking trileptal and how it is working for you?
Thanks a million.
Smith
