So it seems all the pdocs are gonna give me are these lousy mood stablizers, depakote spirled me into a severe depressive state, and lamictal makes me angry.
Having a great initial response to dexadrine, and parnate leaving me so fatigued and tired,im thinking i need to add a stimulant type of AD before anything else.
Dexadrine was ok until its strong amphetamine properties showed, like extreme extreme insomnnia, and hyper active ness, but the first days on it were nice, nice anti depressant effect.
So any suggestions on a stimulant NON CONVENTIONAL AD i can add,i was looking at mirapex, but i dont know, any suggestion please?
Note i think i might have depression/adhd possably and is why i crave a stimulant.

Would Mirapex be any better than cabergoline?
Would you need a mood stabilizer?
Your moods are stable enough, aren't they?
They're just not good? How much Dexedrine were you taking?

That is the big question,do i need a stablizer or not.My mood is extremly dim,and stablizers to this point just seem to worsen it,so i am thinking before any stablizer i need a addtional add-on anti depressant.
Dexadrine worked great at 30 mg,i was talktive,pro-social,felt good, however it then felt like speed where it was just esclating up and up until i couldent sleep, and then i chrashed.
Other than that i had a decent response, and to answer before u ask the lower dose dexadrine dident help, under 30 mg that is.
Carbergoline does not produce a stimulant effect for me,as deprenyl or dexadrine does, rather carbergoline is very weird, just not stimulant to me,instead puts me in a bad mood.More money wasted on that.
If i am to try another stablizer,at this point i want to try keppra, but the docs keep ignoring my requests and putting me on repeat meds like lamictal which only worsened my depression.

Hey Willyee
There are actually quite a few noncoventional stimulants to choose from
Some ideas I had were Reboxetine, Adrafanil and Trivastal
Trivistal is a stimulating dopamine agonist which also affects Noradrenaline, not available in the UK :( don't know ifs available were you are
I had a good response with Adrafanil, quite a while ago, only problem was I couldn't sleep

Hi,
this may get redirected to the alternative board [i'm not totally knowlegable about procedures] but i have found 10 mgs. of NADH to be quite stimulating, and helpful with my depression. i am also on 20 mgs. prozac, which did fatigue me, but since the NADH, [a co-enzyme of B3,] i have found renewed energy. it is available at most health food stores. it effects dopamine, though not as potently as prescribed stimulates!! peace...john
