Well my pdoc prefers Klonopin to the MAX.
I am on ULTRA CLONAZPEAM 5mg daily for panic.
What really diffrence does Valium have over Xanax.
I know in the early 90's Xanax was the drug of choice. My mom said she was on it before it becomae generic in 1993.
What diffrence does Valium feel? i've haerd that Valium sometimes is depressing. And i've heard other times that Xanax is stimulating, very ironic. Well and also has antidepressant properties.
Does anyone have any input?

Hi,
i haven't taken Xanax so i can't compare but my PDr prefers Valium because it's been around a long time. Side effects that many meds made me stop taking them also.
Valium just makes me tired- i take it to sleep or when i go to therapy so i don't become so upset that i can't leave the parking lot afterwards.
It doesn't bother my parts- interfere with states of my alters' minds. i think it's has a simple effect- just to calm and to put emotions on a manageable level.
Yes?
Take care,
kerria

That's a pretty strong dose of Klonopin. You most likely would have to take a pretty strong dose of valium to equal things out. Valium with a much longer half life would probably be prefered by your doctor to Xanax but who knows? If you are getting 5mg Klonopin now you may get Xanax. Personally Librium in moderate doses does the trick for me.

Valium used to do the trick for me when I was younger but it's not anymore. Doubt the pdoc would up the dose. l5mg a day, sometimes need 25mg. Sigh. Anxiety is a way of life for me i guess. Fondly, Phillipa
