Anybody get that 'exhausted' feeling in P.M? Help!

Posted by jay on August 5, 2005, at 20:37:19

I was just wondering if anyone got that really tiring, exhaustive, DEAD feeling towards the afternoon? If I end up laying down at about 2pm, I will sleep for a good 2-3 hours. If my meds are doing this...why would they be? I take 80mg Prozac, 5 mg Zyprexa, 300mg Seroquel, 100mg Nortiptyline.(All at bed) Mornings, I can just zip right out of bed and do my daily routine. But afternoons....uggghhh..forget it! It makes me feel we should all have a 'nap' time around 2pm. Any help and.or comments, relations would be gratefully accepted.

Best,
Jay

P.S. Had tests done...thyroid...liver..kidney...all work fine.

Hi Jay,

SSRIs, including Prozac, cause me to feel sleepy in the afternoon (not during the first couple of weeks - later in treatment). I can easily sleep for a few hours.

I think it's natural to feel sleepy at this time....... but the drowsiness seems to be accentuated by certain medications.
