Anybody find they are LOVING food while on Lex or any other SSRI?
Some of it can be attributed to feeling better and actually wanting to eat. Emotional swamps make me have NO appetite at all.
If if is the Lex, at this point due to benefits versus bad extra findings, I would NOT drop it.
Anybody else consuming with reckless abandon?

hi, while on lexapro I would go on cheap cookie binges. I'd buy 6 packs, and wake up at nite and down half a pack. I had also stopped drinking and suspect I was on a sugar jones. Since I stopped the lex and am taking prozac, I find my cookie craze gone. But then I started drinking again. But at least I'm losing weight. On Prozac I find I prefer real food. cockeyed

I would consider this a good sign if the depression/anxiety was causing a loss of appetite. Just be careful not to overdo it... For me, I tend to overeat when stressed. The minute I start binging on food, I know that my meds need to be increased.
