A disturbing zoloft add.

Posted by linkadge on July 24, 2005, at 1:15:33

"When my daughter said to me, "you're no fun anymore" I knew I needed help. My doctor prescribed zoloft. "

--------------------------------------------

I didn't know that these drugs were designed to make people "fun".

Hi doctor, my daughter said I was "no fun".

Well, I know just the thing!

Pretty scary. I wonder if an ad like that would actually sway someone who wasn't already considering antidepressants. I sure hope not.

Do you think that the drug companies have people visit this site to gather information ?

Yes, drug reps do visit this site. Every once in a while, a drug rep has identified him or herself as such. Then, there have been instances when a poster didn't identify himself as representing a pharmaceutical company, but their posts seemed unrealistic and much too enthusiastic. As the saying goes, "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is."
