Hello...Has anyone else had this happen? I have been taking meds for a long time and usually pop 4 at one time (or whatever rx i have at the time) and now, i put them in my mouth and want to gag. I have to tell myself "these pills make you better and you have to take them"
Is it poss. that since i feel ok now that subconsciously i dont want to take them? Dr. Bob will prob. re-direct this somewhere, but just curious if anyone else felt like this????

Some drugs can exaggerate the gag reflex. Lamictal is one of them. Did you make any changes recently?

I did add 2 tablets of trileptal...maybe thats it..
I take my lamictal at night and i have to break one in half, because I take 300mg, those are so gross tasting. I dread it each night. Apparently they dont make a 300mg dose.

I don't know about the suddenly part, but I have to say that the shape of the Lamictal tablet is awful! When I was on it, I found it so awkward to swallow and choked on it a few times. And the taste of when split--ewww! Apparently the makers of Lamictal have never swallowed pills before!
