Is tonight Mirtazapine night?!
Sorry to post yet another message about Mirtazapine.
I was just wondering if anyone was any medically sound evidence, that it can safely be combined with an MAOI?
I think it can be, but I could only find one example

I thinks this could be dangerous. Mirtazapine causes fairly significant NE release.

Personaly I don't think it would beThe doctors who wrote The Current Psychiatry Online article (see my first post) seemed to know what they were talking about.
By that logic it would be very dangerous to proscribe Adderall with an MAOI,since amphetamines cause NE release.
Despite this I've heard of Adderall being succsefuly combined with Parnate.
I think Maxine was on this combination

I am certainly not saying it is impossable. I mean people have combined SSRI's and MAOIS without consequence.
IF you are going to try it, approach it with extreme caution. Go slow.
