Can Anafranil Cause Anxiety?

Posted by tampagirl70 on May 16, 2005, at 7:52:17

I started on 25mg anafranil last Monday and went up to 50mg on Saturday. I was feeling better last Friday, but Saturday afternoon I started feeling more anxious and Sunday was even worse. Could this be due to the Anafranil?

My current pdoc now wants to put me on lithobid, but i'm holding off til I see my new pdoc today. I just want my life back. :(

It just seems like its gotten worse since Friday and I hate feeling this way. I want to be the old me, the normal me, not this anxious, sweating, scared person.

Yes, definitely. Anafranil relieved my depression to a certain level but made me very anxious,

when i say anxious, i mean cold sweats, clammy hands, hopelessness, afraid that i'll be like this forever and i'll never be myself again. is that what you mean as well?

Precisely,
don't be afraid, your state is reversible. You just need to find the right therapy.

Maybe if you cut down the dose to 25mg again and see what happens. Fondly, Phillipa

((( Tampa Girl ))) Hang in there. There is a solution out there. Are you taking it for OCD? Have you tried Luvox?
