Can anybody direct me to a site that can tell be the effects of serotonin on the heart and how Ad's and other psycoactive drugs might effect the fuction of the heart.

I guess more to the point does te reuptake of serotonin have an effect on the somatic portions of anxiety (racing heart beat, muscle tightness)

I find SSRI's can tend to tame down certain physical anxieties such as racing heart. They tend to make GI upset worse though, as activation of the 5-ht3 receptors can cause nausia.

...blood pressure med. (I think you can find the reference in "Listening to Prozac" ) or one of the popular books. This is going back into the 1970's, when it seemed to do more for people's mood than for blood pressure.
