Hi,
I've been on 75 mg Effexor since mid-January. After the initial horror period of adjustment, I have found that this dosage of Effexor works fairly well. However, I have been having some leftover anxiety and depression, and have experienced a progressive inability to achieve orgasm. (ie, The longer I'm on Effexor, the more difficult it is. It took one hour the other day, and that was by myself. Probably more information than you needed. Sorry.)
After having read many posts about this problem, I went to my pdoc last week and asked for Wellbutrin, figuring this would help with both the orgasm problem and the leftover A/D. She agreed and I've been on 100mg WB for four days.
I've just done a search to find old posts on this topic, but nothing quite fits the bill.
Is there anyone out there who has a similar experience who can tell me what their side effects were when they started the Wellbutrin? Any weepiness or over-emotionality? How long before the orgasm effect kicked in? Anything odd or out of the ordinary that I should expect? Should I take it at the same time as the Effexor or at different times, as per my pdoc's directions?
Can anyone tell me about Wellbutrin generally - side effects, effectiveness, etc...? Smoking cessation effects?
Thanks in advance. As always, these boards are a font of info.

I take this combo - 75mg Effexor and 300mg Wellbutrin. It's a good combo for me and it helped within a week in the orgasm dept. when I added the Wellbutrin. My climax is not quite as intense as before meds, but it is a lot more easy to achieve.
Good luck!
