Hi
Just when I thought my days of trying different etc. were over I received a call from the psychopharmacologist office. I have an appointment on Monday to go and see him.
The secretary who called didn't ask me to bring a list of everything I have been on but I am going to try and create one with the outcome of each. The problem is all the meds have been taken over a period of 10 years and I don't remember everything ... but I will do my best.
I don't know if anything positive will come out of this.

This might be the day you've been waiting for. I am praying.

YES! I am so happy for you!!!
Do make a list, my pdocs have said it is helpful. I also think it ceates a good first impression, and in an indirect way shows that you have been tracking this more than the docs have, and they might look upon the relationship in a more collaborative manner instead of an "I write prescriptions, you comply" attitude.

I agree. I try to keep a journal any time there has been a change to my meds, so I can be objective about the results, too.

Maxime,
Praise God! I will be praying for a WISE doctor who listens thoroughly. There are balloons of hope you know not of! Hang in there!

Hi.
I really don't know what happened. I told my pdoc when he called (about the lactation) that I felt at peace knowing there was nothing that could help me. That I had a sense of relief of not having to chase after something that doesn't exist. I told him that the psychopharmacologist had not called back. But he didn't say that he was going to call him. So I don't know if he did or not. I received a call today to go in on Monday. That must be the quickest appointment made with a specialist in Canadian history.

Sounds like the "I'm at Peace with myself" is what did it. If a person has made up his mind I've read, they become at peace. You scared your pdoc. He knew for once that you were in trouble. If only he'd listened to you from the start you wouldn't have had to go through all this. But at least you finally have your appointment YEAH! Fondly, Phillipa
