I stopped remeron / mirtazipine after nearly 2 yrs dead august last yr cus i couldnt tolerate the new soltab version made me halucinate WAS SCARY
anyway started with hallusinating bad dreams from the soltab, stopped right away cold turkey and suffered mentally ever since.. even wat 7 mnths later im depressed, confused, fogged, mentally feel ill..
now my physc has advised me to not go on any more meds cus i had bad expereiences with the others before remeron .. and he thinks i will be better of without them and just go into therapy ..
HE SAID meds leave system 100% no more then 6 weeks later
WAT ABOUT DAMAGE ?
im suffering badly

I've wondered about that too.
I stopped the Lexapro and even after it should've been waaaay out of my system, I still felt "not right."
The neurologist at the hospital told me that sometimes basically, your central nervous system is a creature of habit.. sometimes you will continue a pattern even after the meds are gone.Kind of a subconscious kind of thing and usually once, you can break the pattern for a few days or weeks, you are back to normal.
So maybe if you could get something to help you cope for a month or so.. benzos or such, you would feel better.
It sure has helped me.

i dont like to feel out of control..
valium is the only med i can get at the moment but when i take it i panick .. i just dont go with the flow ..
fear somethings up with my brain i really do..i am doing this to myself but can not help it !!
i can not escape from my mind :-(

Donna, in my books you are still depressed. And you're gonna be depressed until you get back on meds (right ones) with a competent psychiatrist.

Yes, you have never given meds a chance to work. You quit after taking them a few times. I'm now on valium, and it's doing wonders for my anxiety. Unless you're having a paradoxical reaction I don't see how valium could be making you panic. I'm sorry if I sound stern, but you're punishing yourself needlessly. Fondly, Phillipa

Sometimes we complain and are in misery but we don't take proper measures to help ourselves out of fear.
I would encourage you to go get some help and get on some medications if you indeed feel like this.
I have decided that even if I have to use chemicals to feel normal, then so be it, but it's better than living in misery.I hope you get the right help/meds that you need. There is a lot out there these days, some thing is bound to help.
