Im looking for an anti-anxiety med that doesnt have a long half-life like Valium, or Ativan.
Anything that lasts more than 6 hours, mainly sometimes i just need the sedation for as little as 2 hours, not all day!
I found a medication called Miltown, an older tranquilizer but im wondering if it would work.
I would like your advice

Xyrem (GHB) has a very short half life, and is excellent for anxiety

Xryem i thought was for narcolepsy, plus i thought it had more restrictions on it, for other things. If you know more tell me.

According to this, it's half-life ranges from 6 to 26 hours.
My dad takes it for panic attacks and it's very quick acting.
