Posted by B2Chica on November 14, 2004, at 18:21:34

pdoc just started me on this last friday. smallest dose possible (funny tablet btw)...he thought this was best option for hypo/manic episodes to try out.

-besides the stories of weight gain...any advice? info? side effects etc. or just thoughts and experiences?
Thanks in advance.

I've had a terrible experience on ~2mg. though I had hardly any problem at 0.5mg. I'd just be on the look out for eps. You might want to ask him about something newer and much safter, i.e Seroquel. I've learned the hard way that it's better to be safe than sorry with antipsychotics.

I experienced akathesia on Risperdal, even at a low dose of 0.25 mg. It's very strong stuff.
