Relief from severe, chronic anxiety

Posted by Guy on November 6, 2004, at 14:11:01

I just want to share that, after suffering for eight years with crippling anxiety, I have finally found something that makes me feel almost normal. For me, the winning combination is 2 mg clonazepam (Klonopin) along with 5 mg Zyprexa before bed. I just went for a 6 k run and hardly broke a sweat...not too bad for a 50 year old. This combination has been working for the past month, and I am just hoping it will continue to work in the long-term. I guess I will just have to take it one day at a time. My pdoc says there's lots of room for dose increases and that I should be OK.

Keep up with the exercise. That is sure to help your anxiety too.

Klonopin is working wonderfully for me too. I wish I'd discovered it many years ago because my anxiety ruled my life. I also take a TCA, doxepin, at bedtime and 150mg Effexor a day. I haven't felt this good in years. Congrats on finding a good combo and keep it up with those good physical workouts!!! My daily workout consists of chasing my children around the house. They are 5, 2.5 and 1. :-)

How wonderful to hear!!!! Good on you mate!

I just went for a 6 k run and hardly broke a sweat...not too bad for a 50 year old.

I'm 25 and I break a sweat walking!!!!

This combination has been working for the past month, and I am just hoping it will continue to work in the long-term.

I really wouldn't be concerned. Zyprexa "poop-out" rate is almost non-existant, and benzos, for the vast majority, work at the same dose over the long run...

I guess I will just have to take it one day at a time. My pdoc says there's lots of room for dose increases and that I should be OK.

Once again, its so great to hear of your relief...if you ever need another med...i recommend Nardil!!!

God Bless you and now its time to jump into life and have fun!!!!

Ace..
