I have made some experiments and found 2mg once a day helpfull for anxiety. I dont take it regularely but I consider to take it as needed perhaps during one or two stressfull weeks. I did not yet notice any dependance symptoms. I have some questions:
Does the fatigue go away?
What dosage do you use for Klonopin and what dosage do you find helpfull in problems like performance anxiety and panic attacks?

sdb,
I have social phobia, generalized anxiety, panic, and moderate depression. I take 4mg Klonopin as such: 2mg AM, 1mg noon, 1mg PM before bed. This is the dose I started out at. In my experience, the sedative and fatigue effect is the first side-effect to wear off. Give it another week or two and re-evaluate yourself then. If sedation persists, consider either reducing the dosage, or dividing it up during the day like I do.
One important thing my pdoc told me about Klonopin is that it works better if taken consistantly every day. That is how it is prescribed for patients with panic or social phobia, if you have a good pdoc anyway.
If you want something better for an as needed type performance anxiety drug, xanax is far superior to the Klonopin because it takes effect in about 20 minutes and lasts a shorter time in the body. In adition it causes less sedation than Klonopin, and causes fewer cognitive side-effects on the whole.
Hope that helps you out,
Justin

Yes, I also suppose Klonopin would be better on daily basis (However I only took it for 4 days permanently). Some say the effect would be immediately. But I believe the full effect will start days later because of the long half-life. The body needs some time to adjust and to reach steady state plasma levels. Some say it kicks in immediately some say it only really kicks in in some weeks, thats very interesting...

My tricksy shrink did this to reduce klonopin's side effects: he first used it as a sleeping pill. Believe you me, it was great. Then I stopped falling asleep with it, got an Ambien Rx, and started taking klonopin during the day, no problems/
