lexapro

I was on prozac for OCD (thoughts) for 6 months and got off of it and started to feel better. Then I got a bad anxiety attack when I found out about something in my girlfriends past (really wasn't bad at all) any ways I started haveing really bad obsessions about her past and her. I went back on prozac for about 6 weeks and the thoughts were persistent. My doctor perscribed lexapro and have been on it a few days, however, i feel like i have no emotion especically towards my girlfriend who i was so in love with. I still have obsessive thoughts and I can't tell whethers its how i really feel that I don't wanna be with her or that the medicine has made me emotionless. Can these drugs prozac and lexapro cause you to become emotionless? and are the bad thoughts that I have everyday coming from my heart or from my OCD. The thoughts seem so real, but I don't want them. I'm not sure what to believe because I have no real emotion so I can't trust my heart. I'm so lost and it kills me to think I might have to loose her because I feel this way. Any Help out there?

OCD,

Im on Lexapro for the second time around, week 2. I also feel "unfeeling", "lathargic", and "unmotivated." I remember last time around (a year ago) I got a little better after a few weeks on it, and everything seemed to be going great. Things were going so good that I went off the medicine because I thought I didnt need it anymore...Anyway, the thoughts are your OCD...I have them too. Not a day passes that I don't think about how I'll never be able to make it, support a family, afford a house, etc etc. Keep on the Lexapro for a few weeks, and see how you feel.

sounds like initial side effects, that feeling did go away for me after a couple of weeks.

Good luck~~~8|8
