I was wondering--both Mirapex and Amantadine act on dopamine (slightly different sites), how do they differ in effect? I was prescribed Amantadine to combat lack of energy and motivation--I actually had convinced my pdoc to try Provigil, but the insurance forced me to try this first. It has made some difference, but not enough, and it seemed to wear off...
Anyone able to compare Mirapex to Amantadine? would it be more logical? Or Provigil?

Can't answer your ?, but I am thinking of asking my pdoc about memantine or amantadine to add to my regimine. I take adderall, and these meds are suppossed to help combat stim tolerance and with neuroprotection I believe.
For banga and anyone else:
If anyone knows whether memantine or amantadine can slow or prevent stim poop-out, or if they alter the subjective effects of stims. Could you please let me know. Thanks, Justin
