Hi,
Several times I've seen a nice spreadsheet of all psychotropics and their main mode of action, etc. on here, I think that actually someone here created? ...of course I never copied it down, now I can't find it. Anyone know the one I'm talking about? Anyone can provide a link to it or something similar? I would be so appreciative..
Thanks!!

I think it was probably Scott's. Go to the SLS (Scott L Schofield) homepage.

Another good site is maintained by Shawn T.

Good luck.

Here's a great resource to keep track of drugs of the future:

Thanks again, great informative links! Good to have them all in one place! I commend your work, Scott.
One question: do we simply not know more specifically about Cymbalta's action--which specific NT sites are affected? I'm still unsure why it is theorized to also have antianxiety effects...
And-do Pamelor and Adrafanil possibly cancel out on NE alpha effects (antagonist vs agonist, respectively)?

Tanx.
> One question: do we simply not know more specifically about Cymbalta's action--which specific NT sites are affected?
I'm not sure. Reuptake inhibition is presumed by many to be global and without localization. I'm not so sure about that, though. I think there may be regional differences at which these drugs exert their effects.
> I'm still unsure why it is theorized to also have antianxiety effects...
I think most serotonergic drugs have antianxiety properties. Cymbalta is pretty potently serotonergic, despite a more appreciable effect on NE relative to Effexor. I'll tell you what, though. If the reports here are reflective of the general population, Cymbalta might have greater anti-anxiety properties than the others.

No, they do not cancel each other out. It was determined four years ago that adrafinil and modafinil do NOT bind to NE-alpha receptors.

Thanks again! That makes sense, I guess I had started to come up with that possible explanation (RE site selectivity).
Interesting, some info on the web then isn't updated RE Provigil's effect (or lack thereof) on NE alpha1 receptors...
This is the end of the thread.
