Hi,
Does anyone have any experience with acne caused by either effexor or trileptal? I've been taking them for Bipolar II for just over a month and my skin is horrible. Are there any suggestions for a medication that won't cause this but that will be just as effective? I'm in a great mood, just look terrible!Thanks!

hi - i've been on effexor for about 8 yrs and have had chronic/bad acne the whole time, but i never associated the two (my doc thought the acne was hormonal). do you think there's a connection?

happened to me, and i've heard it from others, too. my skin became a miserable mess on effexor. i've been off 9 months - it's starting to look better...

Drat. I was hoping that it was just an unusual occurance. I had occasional mild breakouts, but nothing obvious to anyone else. This is my face, chest and back. I hate it! Whats the point of taking medication to balance the emotions when you look horrid? *sigh* ah well. Maybe I can find a better one...
