I took my first 100mgs about 4 and a half hours ago to fight the sedation of Geodon. So far I've felt it do nothing for my sedation but maybe making me slightly nervous. Is there a big difference between 100mg and 200mg? I'm scared that its not going to work. Experiences anyone? What have you found by playing with the dose? Is one more effective that the other?

At two-hundred miligrams I felt a little too good. Makes me nervous about the comedown. It seems there is always a price to pay for feeling good. But one-hundred does keep me awake.

100mg does nothing for me. I can still take a nap in the afternoon if I take 100 probably because I take 400 mg of Topamax a day and 125 mg. of Effexor. The jitters the two of you feel are side effects of Provigil and it took me about two weeks of taking Provigil everyday to get over that feeling. I was ready to peel out of my skin, especially because I am oversensitive to sounds and lights. I take 200 mg. in the am. and I love the drug. I would sleep all day without it and since I work full time and have kids that wouln't work. I also think it helps keep me more organized.

I second lorilu. Provigil was pretty tough for me in the beginning. I actually had to break the 100's in half and space them out over the day. (Which by the way actually worked out better for me in the long run anyway as far as them wearing off too early in the day). The side effects were enough to make me want to quit at first. It was more than nervousness. I was really spacey, sick to my stomach, headache, etc. etc. Breaking them down like I did and waiting out getting over the side effects really worked. 200mg works the best for me as far as the sleepiness is concerned. 100 gets me up in the morning but just doesn't make it totally through the day. Everyone is different. Once you get it worked out it is awesome and the side effects are practically gone over time.

Incidentally I never did notice that I "felt" different on provigil - just that by the end of the day I'd done more. And I found that starting out at 200 left me with bad headaches for the first few days which starting at a lower dose might have prevented.

Yes! There is a big difference between 100 and 200. I forgot to take 200 mg. on Sun. morning because i had to get up really early for a soccer game so when I got home at 11:00 am. I took 100mg. and then 45 min. later I took a nap for over an hour. I was still tired all afternoon. Later that night I got a second wind but still went to bed at 10 at night. You've got to fight through the side effects and I went straight to 200 mg. because I had to get work done. It also makes me more organized.
