Hello. Thanks for all your replies to my earlier posts. I was concerned about Clonazepam's cognitive dulling effects.
I been on it for couple of days now. Today at 1mg. Happy to say I don't think it affects my intellect. But I feel though a light sedation and maybe some tiredness/sleepness. I wonder if these side effects would go away with continious daily use. I mean would I develop tolerance to the sedation and drowsness and declined alertness while maintaining the anxiolytic effect ?!!
Thanks again. Love this board and the nice folk here :=)

I think so, or maybe I should say it did for me. I'm at the end of my second week on it and I did notice that I felt a little more sleepy than usual that first week.
I'm talking about daytime sleepiness. I still have to take doxepin nightly to take care of my Effexor-induced insomnia. I think I've finally found a very good combo for me though. Social anxiety has really decreased. I feel much more confident and comfortable in groups of people I am just getting to know and my intrusive anxious thoughts at bedtime are almost completely gone.
I'm lovin' the clonazepam! I probably should have been medicated for anxiety years ago as "anxiety genes" are in my family!!!
Good luck!

Hi Ted,
Yes, I found these effects go away
with time -- say a week or so. I had
an additional effect - sort of heart
congestion, but that may be due to
drug interactions.I don't feel the Klonopin at all now.
