Zoloft plus sinequan ???

Posted by linkadge on October 5, 2004, at 7:33:57

Doctor prescribed doxepin (10mg) in addition to zoloft.

I know it is sedating, but am still worried about the NE effect combined with the zoloft DE effect to create too much catecholamine. I don't think I do well with too much catecholamine.

(although SJW was the best AD I tried, and it affected all three)

Made me a little tweeky though.

It is a little scary, but AD combos are hot right now. I take Tofranil and Cymbalta, both at max. doses. Anyway, 10mgs is minor, and if he wants you revved up a mild stimulant would be better all around...but whatever. It sounds like a SAFE combo, but if it sucks for you tell the doc immediately you will ont take it and want new meds (shrinks have to bossed around a little every now and then). Good luck.

But don't you hate the feeling of going into the doctors office for the 500 thousanth time and say, the drugs don't work. Or that they worked now they don't etc.

I just give up.

Try not to analyze the mechanisms too much. Just try the combo and see how it affects you. I take Effexor, Klonopin and Doxepin and this combo is working great for me so far.

Good Luck!
