Any antipsychotic ideas?

Posted by mmerrynick on October 4, 2004, at 13:33:34

Hi! I am a schizoaffective and need help finding a good antipsychotic. I currently take Navane and Risperdal and Lithium. The Risperdal causes me to have no libido and weight gain. The Navane makes me crave soda. The Lithiium causes me to urinate all the time. I tried Abilify and really liked it, but when we withdrew the Risperdal I became delusional. Then we tried it with the Risperdal and I got obsessive compulsive disorder. Now I am trying Moban, but I don't think it will work because I am urinating all the time. Does anyone have any ideas about combinations that have helped them keep their weight down and still have a libido? I'd really appreciate any information

I take only 20mgs of Geodon and it completely rids me of delusions, paranoia, disorganized thinking, depression, and anxiety. The only problem now is that it has given me considerable sedation at the low dose of 20mgs, and I am now trying to decide what to take for this. I have psychotic depression and it has made a serious dent in my symptoms. If you need an antipsychotic it might be worth looking in to.
