for the past six or so months, i don't know when it first started happening in comparison to when i realized it was happening, maybe more maybe less,
i have noticed (with terror) large amounts of my hair that has fallen out when i shower, when i wake up, when i run my hand through my hair etc etc
i'm sure i don't have to tell anyone what kind of feeling this creates and of course how one's doctor would usually respond
i have been on depakote longer than i can remember and have never suffered from the "usual" side effects and generally have been lucky with side effects with med's
but, i think, since i have added lamictal in the last year, maybe less, maybe more, so this might be the cause
also since lamictal has the side effects of a rash and i am now on 200 mg is it possible that lamictal could be the reason that excema has returned but not on my body but on or in my scapl, it has become so bad i had to see a dermatologist last week
anyway, if anyone can help i would really appreciate it. it's been a long time since i've been back here and i am using a different name because i have found some people i have known have found things out about me from doing searches on my name,
so hopefully i will start talking with those i used to know, and knew people to hopefully help, since i have been dealing with everything possible for the last ten or so years... every med, every treatment, every hospital from the Head of Neuro-Psych at N.Y.U. to mayo clinic to Mclean in boston
sorry for writing so long,
thank you

I suffer excema as a side effect of Lamictal. It appears on my face around my nose and between my eyebrows. It also appears inside my ears. I find that Aveeno lotion clears it right up.
As for hair loss, people have described it with Lamictal. I experienced terrible dandruff until I began using a pyrithione zinc anti-dandruff shampoo. I use it every day.
