Zoloft - Side Effects - Loss of Appetite

Posted by mike_pittsburgh on August 26, 2004, at 18:51:41

Hi,

I started zololf 3 days. Starting dose is 25mg (1/2 pill). First time on an a/d. I've been taking Klonopin for 6 years for management of severe tinnitus. Experiencing several side-effects. The worse being loss of appetite and upset stomach. Lossing sleep. lost a couple pounds & feel like crap.

Has anyone experienced loss of appetite & stomach problems when first starting Zololf? Does it go away? Can't imagine being able to stay on this stuff much longer if the side effects don't subside.

Thanks

Mike

I also just started Zoloft and having some of the same side effects. I can tell you I've been on celexa and wellbutrin in the past and also had these side effects, but they usually diminish within two weeks, so if you can hang in there for that long, it may be worth it. Upset stomach is very common when you first start ADs -- but its a side effect that usually doesn't last too long. Hope that helps.
