I'm getting ready to swtich from Celexa to Zoloft and wondering if anyone has had better results from Zoloft. I suffer mild depression and anxiety -- the celexa helped dramatically with the depression but after about 3 weeks, I became extremely sedated.. I could barely get up in the morning, and that is not like me at all. My mood was ok, but I was having more anxiety and unmotivation. The pdoc suggested Zoloft because its not suppose to be as sedative and she also said the sedation may have been causing some of my anxiety. I'm concerned about weight gain -- I had none on celexa, but I always hear about people having problems with this especially with the older SSRIs... But, I can't take this sedation on celexa its making it hard for me to go to work or do anything for that matter.

zoloft is more activating and may help with your sedation problems. I personally found zoloft a little bit better of an antidepressant for me.
