I am so new to this whole medication thing so I don't know much about it. But I've heard so much about Wellbutrin being essential when one is taking Lexapro. Why is this? What does Wellbutrin do that Lex doesn't and why do they work well togehter?
BTW I have OCD and moderate anxiety.

Hi Gal - To tell you the truth I've never heard that before. Though I don't have OCD, my pdoc tells me that serotonin based drugs (which
Lexapro is) are the best way to treat that condition (she was going through symptoms and commenting on what types of drugs she felt best suited which symptoms).Because Wellbutrin tends to be stimulating to most people I'm not sure how well it would fare for someone with anxiety. There are many folks posting here who are much more qualified than me to answer this.
Best of Luck!
Charm
