Has anyone heard of this?? It sounds interesting...I heard a lot of people benefit substantially from it...it's FDA approved so it is a legitamate treatment for the skeptics out there...it also supposedly raises your iq..I hear it's expensive though..

I researched this some more. the alpha-stim SCS is $500 with a 30 day return period if it doesn't work for you. You do need a doc's scrip. One anecdotal test ride description in a muscle magazine said it made him feel stoned if he did it too long... I suppose that's why it's not allowed OTC. I did not see anything about bad side effects other than that. I think it sounds good, probably not more popular because it sounds nutty and is a lot more hassle than taking a pill. You have to clip it on your ears & use these disposable pads and electro conducting paste for anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours, maybe a couple times a day. Not too bad but pretty annoying. For heroine addiction, they wear it all day for a few days at first.
