Making my depression and anxiety worse. some days seemed better than others. flat effect. horrible bad breath. I realized after 7 weeks this stuff was not for me. I went back to old stand by prozac and had no withdrawl. I feel 100% better.
I wonder what the deal was?Rainee

No, I must say that I felt relief within 12 hours of my first dose. The "bad" days that have happened since then are nothing like how I was while on any other med.

>Hi Rainee,
You are opposite to me here. Prozac was a horrible drug for me, so then I tried Effexor which was great. :) I haven't heard of bad breath from Effexor, maybe it's intestinal gas moving in the wrong direction?
Cheers,
Panda.

Regarding bad breath with effexor - if it's making your mouth dry (I'm not sure if it's this or the Wellbutrin), then you'll have more plaque forming on your teeth and that can give you bad breath. I saw my dentist last month and he strongly suggests that I brush mid-day in addition to the morning/night routine.
Just a thought.
