Linkadge, whatever happened to your trial of Turmeric (since it has been shown to be an inhibitor of MAO-A)? How did it work for you and what not?

It was quite possibly the best antidepressant I have ever tried. I had to consume nearly a cup of the stuff a day (still cheap though), to get the same level as used in the studies. I just consumed a small portion each our in water.
The problem was that it seemed the potency was very varyable. One day would seem to be a real power boost and the next day very little. I was using bulk turmeric not the standardized extracts.
This could be the depression, but If I was to try it again, I would need to find a supply of pharmacudical turmeric. It really pisses me off when the best antidepressants are right infront of us, but the drug companies won't bother trying to research it.
