I'd like to know what others' experiences are. I have a dual dx of Bipolar 1 with ADD inattentive type. I take 10 mg of Zyprexa nightly and it has completely resolved all of my Bipolar issues. (I tried the anti-convulsant class and they didn't help) I also take Adderall XR, 30 mg 3 x a day for the ADD. The Zyprexa and the Adderall are competing for their opposite effects on my dopamine system, but the combo seems to work. Anybody else having to do this?
Thanks,
K

Zyprexa blocks only some of the dopamine receptors, so a stimulant antispcyhotic combo is not unheard of.
Zyprexa can actually increase dopamine release in the prefrontal cortex, and is shown to have cognative improving effects in schitsophrenia.
