I take 60 mg of Nardil spread out as 15 mg about every 6 hours or so. On two different occasions, I missed the last evening dose. Both times, the next day, I felt lethargic, sleepy, and more depressed. Can Nardil have such an instant bounceback effect if it is reduced or discontinued?
What's up?

The MAOI's appear to be very unusual in that you can sometimes notice the AD effect "kick-in" and then experience it wearing off as the drug is metabolized.
(This, along with the fact that people respond differently to Nardil and Parnate, is good evidence that the MAOI's are doing something besides simply killing MAO.)
I have noticed that this effect lessened as my depression remitted. Now I take my 30mg pretty much whenever--making some effort to spread out the dosages.
This is the end of the thread.
