I posted this before but maybe under the wrong subject.
I just started Topamax for chronic Migraine/ tension headaches. I have muscle spasms in my neck and shoulders too. I have been on Flexerill, Baclofen, Daypro, Fiorinal, Toradol and Toradol shots, Nortiptaline... and the list goes on for the last 5 months. I have started getting tingling in my hands and feet as well as this terrible itchy restless feeling like I can’t sit still. I read about " the stupids" and yep I known that feeling! Everyone at work has noticed. I've also had dizzy spells. I’m only taking 50mg Topamax at night and Allegra for my allergies 2 times a day and I've had 3 migraines since starting the Topamax 5 weeks ago. None of the other meds. were working and I’m still in constant pain. I’m considering quitting all these meds. all together! OK, getting to the point. I don’t honestly know what to do. Nothing is working! Any ideas? My husband says just buck up and take it and it’ll heal itself eventually...

My physician put me on prozac when I was trying to quit effexor and experienced a migraine. I have had the tingling in my hands whenever I went to my physician the first couple of times with my problems. The tingling was related to my anxiety after I started the effexor orignally those symptoms disappeared. I tried going to a ENT doc was put on allergy medications and finally figured out that I was experiencing a general anxiety disorder. Now I am on prozac and back to normal. John

Hmmm... I was wondering about something like that. Had terrible suscidal depression at 12 years old, progressed to self mutilation. Got off Meds by 16. At 24 was told I was depressed and had generalized anxiety, then he told me I was Bipolar. Couldn't take Effexor so tried Prozac and Zanax for about 6 months and weaned off them. Feel pretty good now at 29. I guess you never know with all the crap I've been on lately when it might hit me again.
