There is a lot of data/research indicating that increased REM sleep durations are negatively correlated with mood, and vice versa (REM sleep reduction-- even deprivation-- is positively associated with mood). Also, CNS cholinergic activity is positively correlated with increased REM sleep durations, and, therefore, mood.
i was very interested in trying galantamine (the new cholinergic *and nicotinic* Alzheimer's drug) for my Nardil-induced anticholinergic side effects (especially for what seems like decreased cognitive skills) ... (if i could ever get any somehow). But now i am concerned that it would have a negative effect on my mood and worsen my depression. Any thoughts?
i appreciate it.

I tried taking donepezil not too long ago. It made my depression mildly worse. There's another pro-cholinergic drug I'm trying to remember. When I think of it, I'll post it. Don't bet on it, though. lol :-)

Please don't use this site to exchange information that could be used to import into the US prescription medication without a prescription:

This kind of thing came up before, so this time I'm going to block you from posting for a week.

This isn't really about posting *policies*, so i'm just posting it here. i hope that's okay.
i was just wondering if maybe EERRIICC just wanted to discuss galantamine and not how to purchase it online.

E.g., how long on it, what it helped and how much (particularly in regard to cognitive functioning), what it aggravated and how much, and whether you think it was worth it or not.
Galantamine is supposed to (i realize that doesn't guarantee anything by any means) be more effective and especially have less severe side effects than the other cholinergics. What's why i'm particularly interested in that. Unfortunately it costs an arm a leg and three toes.
Thanks again.
