Hey all,
ive been on lexapro for 9 months, and since i started i always feel weird, like i'm on a hallucinogen, when i first wake up in the morning or from a nap. i started taking bendryl to sleep (after trazodone made me feel hungover) a few weeks ago, but 2 nights ago i took generic benadryl. yesterday, i felt REALLY messed up, everything was distorted and i felt fuzzy and confused, so i figured it was something about the generic. today has been only slightly better even though i didn't take anything last night.anyone else experienced this or know what might be going on? i don't know if the generic benadryl is related now since i've felt it for so long. and i hate calling my pdoc between appointments, cos he's so busy. but should i?

Absolutely. Call your doctor if you're getting spells. It might be completely unrelated to the meds. Who knows?
About 15 years ago, I started having these spells when I woke up. It sounds similar to what you're describing. It was like this intense feeling of deja vu only I felt like I was actually someplace else. I told my mother, she didn't really believe me or she thought I was being melodramatic. I went to work and had a grand mal seizure right in the middle of the room and was wheeled away in an ambulance. I've been on Dilantin ever since.
The point here is, one day I woke up and boom, I just started having seizures.
Go to the doctor. Don't ever assume.
