any prozac/fluox. takers experience massive amounts of heartburn or acid reflux-like symptoms if the drug is taken RIGHT before bed? what is the deal with this? mine lasts all day sometimes--feeling like i'm still swallowing the pill hours after.
thanks...

Maybe try taking it with some milk?
It could be just a side affect should subside.
ALso it could be cus u take it before bed and it just sits in the middle of you?
Could try taking it in the day, or about 3 hrs before bed with some milk or some food?

FWIW, I don't think this is a problem with just Prozac, it is a well known and pretty established fact that *most* AD's can cause acid reflux or G.E.R.D. as well as other GI upsets. Some more than others- I believe that this is primarily because as many as 90% of serotonin receptors and such reside in the Gut-thus the adverse S/E's of theses meds. If taking the med at another time proves to be inadequete- it might be worth while to ask your doc about adding an H2 blocker like Zantac or something similar!!
hope that helps
