> I am a family doctor and last week a drug company representative detailed for me the product Testogel, made by Schering, normally used by men who have low testosterone. This time though he told me it can be useful in women with low testosterone and so low libido, typically post-menopausal.The dose recommended was 5g sachet spread over a week with a small amount applied to the skin daily. The sachet contains 50mg so the woman gets 7mg daily or one seventh the amount given to men.Up to now testosterone implants were occasionally used in women.I have no feedback yet on how useful this drug is in women but from my knowledge of biochemistry I think it will be quite useful for many.

Dr., do you know of any on-going research in this area, and if so the statistical results?

I am positive that testogel is the same as androgel, only made outside the US - I believe China.
