Has anyone taken SAM-E, 5-HTP and/or St. John's Wart along with WellbutrinXL? If not, does anyone know where I can find info on it?

I have tried all 4 of those drugs, but not at the same time. I don't know whether or not the other 3 drugs can be taken safely with Wellbutin.
I've read a lot of posts over the years and haven't heard of much success with SAM-e, 5-HTP, or SJW when used for major depression. They didn't do too much for me.

5-htp has the potential to augment Wellbutrin. I might caution against using SAMe with Wellbutrin. SAMe can be very dopaminergic and some find it makes them angry. Wellbutrin can do the same so the combination may be too much.

Thanks to both. From my experience the alternative supps, on their own, did nothing as well. I've just fed up with psychiatry field at the moment.

Omega 3, and folic acid are (in my opinion) some of the best adjunctives. Omega 3 is definately a suplement that has the potential to improve the prognosis in many people. Deficiancy in this country is quite common.
