Effexor and Adderall Adhd

Posted by armyrebel4 on March 6, 2004, at 19:53:20

My doctor says I have Gen Anxiety Disorder and ADHD. I have tried strattera, for me it did not work. But Concerta did, over time I noticed I built up tolerance to the 36 mg and that’s why the doctor put me on Strattera. My concerta has always been mixed with either paxil, celexa, or lexapro. I took zoloft for 2 days and it made me feel like what amitrypline did, cloudy. I was taken off the paxil because it was giving me bad dreams and making me sweat alot, while the celexa and lexapro worked. For a while the doctor upped me to 20 mg of lexapro, but for some reason my anxiety was not being controled. So I went to klonopin, but was taken off of it because I built up tolerance to it too quickly. The doctor put me on xanax, and that has been working wonders, but I only take it on an as needed basis.

I notice when I take the adderall 20 mg it works wonders, but as it starts to wear off I notice my leg wants to move up and down (go figure). So I notice that’s the sign of a rebound from the stimulant. With the 75 mg of effexor I don't have any obsessional thoughts or, weird dreams. But when I walk into a crowded room, like at a club or something my hands start to shake, but I can usually control it. So I think this is working, is a higher dosage necessary? I am on day 10 of the starter pack. Should I switch to the xr of adderall with a higher dosage, or go to something like wellbutrin? Thanks for your time here.
Erik
